Terms.

General terms and conditions (AGB), last updated 2026-04-29. Governed by German law.

These terms apply to the open web, the magazine surface, the Urban-Data-Hub and to Founding-Partnership contracts of the European Urban Future Alliance at urban-future-alliance.com. By using the site or signing a partnership contract you accept these terms in the version current at the time of use or signature.

// 1 · Scope

These terms cover three surfaces: (a) the openly readable magazine and knowledge base on the web, (b) the digital E-Paper distributed to subscribers and Founding Partners, and (c) the Urban-Data-Hub working surface accessible to registered members. Separate or supplementary terms may apply to specific products and will be flagged clearly at point of use.

// 2 · Provider

The European Urban Future Alliance is published under the umbrella of GEORG Media. The website is designed and operated by mi media intelligence SLunder the direction of Tobias Hager. Together referred to below as “the Alliance”.

KG, Maximilianstraße 43, 80538 Munich, Germany (HRA 111553, Amtsgericht München; VAT-ID DE326948482; represented by general partner Georg Verwaltungs GmbH, HRB 252554, itself represented by managing director Dominik Baur-Callwey). Technical implementation by mi media intelligence SL, CEO Tobias Hager.

// 3 · Open-web use

Articles, datasets and visual material on the open web are made available for individual reading and non-commercial reference. Editorial content is protected by German copyright law (UrhG). Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the following uses require the prior written consent of the Alliance:

  • Reproduction or republication outside the limits of § 51 UrhG.
  • Commercial republishing, syndication, or inclusion in paid products.
  • Automated bulk retrieval, scraping, AI training-set construction, or any form of mass extraction. Crawling for indexing by general-purpose search engines is permitted within reasonable limits as long as our robots.txt is honoured.

// 4 · Founding Partnership · Issue 01

Founding-Partnership contracts for Issue 01 (“Beat the Heat”, release date 30.06.2026) are concluded business-to-business between the partner organisation and the Alliance. The standard scope of services is:

  • Launch Partnership in E-Paper 01 · Beat the Heat, including an optional 1/1 page advertisement.
  • 1/2 page advertisement in G+L 08|26 · Landscape Shows.
  • 1/2 page advertisement in BAUMEISTER 09 · Building the Future.
  • 1/2 page advertisement in topos 136 · Health in Cities.
  • Logo on the Founding Partner Wall, logo on the open web, mention in the cross-media newsletter, plus the Founding-Partner briefings and trend mailings described on the Partner page.

The standard fee for the full bundle is 2.999 € net, one-time, plus statutory VAT where applicable. The fee is invoiced upon contract signature and due no later than fourteen days before the Issue 01 release date (30.06.2026), unless the contract sets another payment date in writing.

Booking deadline for materials in Issue 01 is 15.06.2026. Late delivery may shift placement to a subsequent issue at the Alliance’s discretion, without affecting the fee. Print specials in G+L, BAUMEISTER and topos follow the deadlines published in those titles’ media kits and forwarded to partners on signature.

Founding-Partner status is granted exclusively for Issue 01. From Issue 02 onward, the same scope of services moves to the standard Alliance rate card.

// 5 · Conclusion of contract, withdrawal

Founding-Partnership contracts are B2B contracts within the meaning of § 14 BGB. The right of withdrawal granted to consumers under §§ 312g, 355 BGB therefore does not apply.

Should a private consumer (§ 13 BGB) nevertheless conclude a separate consumer contract with the Alliance, for example, a future paid newsletter or an Urban-Data-Hub consumer subscription, they receive a separate withdrawal instruction at point of sale and a 14-day right of withdrawal under § 355 BGB.

// 6 · Editorial independence

The Alliance newsroom takes its editorial decisions independently of advertising or partnership relationships. Founding Partners receive editorial briefings around each issue and may suggest themes; the newsroom decides what gets covered, in what depth, and with what framing. Partner placement never confers editorial influence.

// 7 · Liability

The Alliance is liable without limitation for damages arising from intent or gross negligence, for damages from injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act (ProdHaftG). For damages arising from simple negligence, the Alliance is liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal duties), and only up to the foreseeable, contract-typical damage. All other liability is excluded.

Editorial content is researched with care. The Alliance does not, however, warrant that every figure, projection or third-party statement remains accurate over time, and assumes no liability for decisions taken on the basis of editorial content.

// 8 · Open-web availability

The open web aims for high availability but does not constitute a contractual service-level commitment. Maintenance windows, infrastructure incidents and third-party outages may temporarily reduce availability. No claims arise from such interruptions.

// 9 · Urban-Data-Hub (members area)

Access to the Urban-Data-Hub requires registration. Each account is personal and non-transferable. Members are responsible for safeguarding their credentials. Misuse, including credential sharing, automated access against the technical or contractual access conditions, and any attempt to circumvent access controls, entitles the Alliance to suspend the account without notice. The full Urban-Data-Hub terms are presented at sign-up and are accepted with the registration step.

// 10 · Data protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Cookie / localStorage handling is described on our Cookies page.

// 11 · Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). For B2B contracts, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Munich, Germany. For contracts with consumers domiciled in the European Union, the statutory place of jurisdiction applies, and consumers retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence.

// 12 · Severability

Should any provision of these terms be or become invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced by the valid, enforceable provision that most closely reflects the economic intent of the original.

// 13 · Updates to these terms

The Alliance may update these terms to reflect new functionality, regulatory changes or product additions. The version applicable to a given partnership contract is the version current at the time of signature, unless the parties expressly agree otherwise. The current version is always available at urban-future-alliance.com/terms.
