02 Processors

The technical realisation and hosting coordination for this site are performed by a processor we have engaged on the basis of a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) under Art. 28 GDPR:

03 Hosting

The site is hosted with Hostinger International Ltd., Kaunas, Lithuania. Hostinger processes personal data exclusively on our behalf. A DPA pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Hostinger. Data processing takes place inside the European Union.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and available operation of the site).

04 Server logs

When you visit this site, our hosting provider automatically collects technical log data transmitted by your browser:

This data is required to deliver the site, ensure IT security and detect abuse. It is not merged with other data sources. It is not analysed for marketing purposes.

Legal basis
Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest)
Storage period
maximum 14 days, then deleted automatically

05 Cookies & local storage

We use only strictly necessary technical data in the browser's local storage. It exists to remember your language preference and your cookie-consent choice, so that on each visit your last settings are restored.

No tracking cookies. No analytics. No re-targeting. No transfer to third parties.

Storage type
localStorage (no server cookie)
Contents
language choice (e.g. "en", "de"), consent state for Google Fonts
Legal basis
§25 (2) No. 2 TTDSG (strictly necessary) / Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR
Storage period
until you manually clear your browser storage

06 External fonts (Google Fonts)

This site optionally uses fonts from Google Fonts (Inter and JetBrains Mono), loaded from fonts.googleapis.com, operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Loaded only after active consent.
On first visit a banner appears that lets you allow or reject Google Fonts. Without consent, system fonts are used (e.g. Helvetica, Arial, San Francisco).

If you give consent, your IP address is transmitted to Google. Google can in principle derive your approximate location from it. The transfer to the United States is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Google LLC is certified under that framework.

Legal basis
Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR (consent) and §25 (1) TTDSG
Withdrawal
at any time via the "Cookies" link in the bottom-right of every deck page
Third country
USA (under EU-US Data Privacy Framework)

More information: Google Privacy Policy.

07 Analytics (Plausible)

This site uses Plausible Analytics for aggregated, privacy-respecting usage measurement. Plausible is operated by Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia (EU).

No cookies. No persistent identifiers. No personal data.
Plausible does not use cookies and does not store anything on your device. It does not track you across sessions, devices or websites. All data stays in the EU and is fully aggregated — no individual visitor profile is created.

What Plausible records on a page view: timestamp, the page URL, the referrer (which site you came from), the type of browser and OS in coarse categories, and a coarse country/region inferred from the IP address. The IP address itself is never stored. A daily salt converts the IP into a non-reversible hash that resets every 24 hours, so no identifier persists across days.

We use this data to understand which slides of the deck are looked at, which channels drive partner traffic, and to track campaign performance — aggregated, never per-person.

Legal basis
Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in measuring the reach of our publication)
Data location
European Union (Estonia, Germany)
Storage period
aggregated stats kept while the campaign is live; raw events not stored
Cookies
none

Plausible's full data policy: https://plausible.io/data-policy.

08 Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process the data you transmit (email address, name, content of your message) in order to handle your enquiry and any subsequent questions.

Legal basis
Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (pre-contractual) or lit. f (legitimate interest in answering)
Disclosure
None to third parties
Storage period
until your enquiry is fully resolved, at the latest 24 months after last contact

09 Your rights as data subject

Under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Competent supervisory authority:

Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA)
Promenade 18
91522 Ansbach
Germany
Web: www.lda.bayern.de

10 Withdrawal & objection

You may withdraw any consent (e.g. for loading Google Fonts) at any time, with effect for the future. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.

To withdraw, use the "Cookies" link in the bottom-right of every deck page, or contact t.hager@georg-media.de.

11 Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy to keep it compliant with current legal requirements, or to reflect changes to our services — for instance when introducing new features. The version published at the time of your visit applies.
